Additional info from an obit in the Jacksonville Journal of 8 Nov 1905, his full name was Captain Augustin Henry Ravesies who died in Trilby, Pasco Co FL at the residence of his sister Mrs HC McRae.
"Captain Ravesies left Mobile with the Eighth Alabama Regiment of Infantry, amongst the first troops that went to the front. he was wounded in the battles of Sharpsburg and First and Second Manassas, after which he was detailed south for conscript duty.
His "old mother, his wife, and two sisters in this county" survive him as well as many relatives in Alabama.
