A native of Wilmington and a World War II veteran of the Army, Mr. Searles had been an employee of Atlas Chemical Industries, Inc., for 18 years. He worked at the Atlas Point plant.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Dorothy McDaniel Searles; two sisters, Miss Helen Searles, Wilmington, and Mrs. Winslow Campbell, Wayne, Pa.; and a brother, Carlton, Searles, Wilmington.
Services will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. in the Yeatman Funeral Home, 819 Washington St., where friends may call this evening. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery.
