Word has been received here of the death in General Hospital, Buffalo, of Thomas S. Searles, 35 years old, a native and former resident of Wilmington. He died Saturday as the result of heart trouble, following an operation.

Mr. Searles was first assistant engineer of the New York Central lines. He was a graduate of the Wilmington High School, Drexel Institute of Philadelphia and Lafayette College. During the World War, he served overseas for one year with the Sixty-sixth engineers. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Frankie Searles, whom he married about a year ago; his father, William S. Searles, of 104 Rodney street, this city; two stepsisters, Miss Anna Maguton, a Baptist missionary in India, Mrs. Jesse Maxton, of Phoenixville, Pa., and Mrs. William Dwyer, of Media and two stepbrothers, William H. Searles, of this city, and George Magilton, of Philadelphia. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

SEARLES- In Buffalo, N. Y., on May 26, 1928, Thomas S. Searles, aged 35 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at the residence of his father, William S. Searles, 104 N. Rodney street, on Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Interment at Riverview Cemetery.
