Charles R. ‘Charlie' Secrest

Charles R. "Charlie" Secrest, 57, 2800 Bel Aire Road, died July 11, 1990, at his home.
He was born April 16, 1933, at Plevna, the son of Ralph E. and Grace P. O'Bleness Secrest. A longtime resident of the Hutchinson area, he was a retired farmer.
He was a member of Salem Community Church of the Brethren, Nickerson, and the American Association of Retired Persons. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict.
On Feb. 3, 1990, he married Dee Larson at Nickerson. She survives.
Other survivors include: one son, Charlie Secrest Renner, Hutchinson; One daughter, Linda Elston, Hutchinson; three stepsons, Doug Graham, Kevin Graham and Bob Graham, all of Hutchinson; mother, 1815 East 24th, three sisters, Joyce E. Taylor, 4308 North Halstead, Virginia M. Boggs, Lyons, and Marge Vivian, 2113 West 62nd; three grandchildren; and seven step-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson with the Rev. Ron Sherck 'presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson.
