AFTON, Wyo. Milo Andrew Rupp, 79, of Afton, Wyoming, formerly of Grace, Idaho, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2001, at the Logan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born August 11, 1921, at Taylorsville, Utah, the son of George Albert and Hannah Josephine Ekstedt Rupp.
He was raised in Taylorsville, Utah, and had lived also at Lewiston, Utah; Grace, Idaho; Preston, Idaho; and Afton, Wyoming. He graduated from Granite High School. He married Mary Tripp January 12, 1945, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She passed away September 15, 1995.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had served as a coach, home teacher and as a ward clerk. He farmed all his life and had retired.
His hobbies included farming, basketball, baseball and coaching. He also enjoyed music and dancing.
He is survived by a son, David and Connie Rupp, Grace, Idaho; and six daughters, Nancy and Jerry Smith, Salt Lake City, Utah; Linda and Paul King and Pat Smith, all of Lewiston, Utah; Mary Ann and Ralph Spackman, Afton, Wyoming; Betty and David Smart, North Logan, Utah; and Cindy and Larry Smith, Nibley, Utah. Surviving also are 30 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ida and Isom Stephens, Layton, Utah, and Elva Rushton, West Valley, Utah. He was preceded in death by a son, George; a daughter, Valerie; two brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 21, at 12 noon at the Lewiston LDS Third and Fourth Ward Chapel, located at the corner of Main and Center in Lewiston.
Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs and on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at the Lewiston Chapel. Burial will be in Lewiston. Services are under the direction of the Sims Funeral Home.
