Ray N. Taylor Fairview – Ray Nielsen Taylor, 87, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2008 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He was born May 16, 1921 in Banida, Idaho to James Daniel and Teresa Albina Nielsen Taylor. He attended school at Preston High School, University of Idaho, and BYU in Provo, Utah. He married Elaine Bluth on January 27, 1948 in the Mesa LDS Temple. Ray was an active member of the LDS Church, and served a mission to New Mexico. He enjoyed riding horses and working on the farm. He loved the scouting program and worked with the scouts for many years. Ray is survived by his wife, Elaine, of Ammon, ID; two daughters Laura Lue Allen, of Minburn, Iowa; and Rebecca (Becky) Kessinger, of Ammon, ID; a son James B. Taylor, of Shelley, ID; 11 grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren, a brother Dan Taylor and a sister Donna Lue Vasser. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Carl, Blaine, Preston, and Nile, a sister Kristy, and a grandson Courtney Niederer. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 12:00 noon in the Fairview 2nd Ward Chapel with Bishop Lewis Palmer conducting. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the church in Fairview, and Saturday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. also at the Church. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
