Davis, Eloise

Eloise "Sis" Davis DEKALB — Graveside services for Eloise "Sis" Davis will be held today at 3:30 p.m. at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Scooba, with the Rev. Sam Hull officiating. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Davis, 91, of DeKalb died, Friday, Oct. 24, 2008 in DeKalb. Mrs. Davis was a native of Kemper County. She was born December 25, 1916, and was a beautician for numerous years. She was a member of the Scooba Methodist Church, Eastern Star, Scooba Homemakers Club, and United Methodist Women.

Survivors include her two daughters, Marlene Younger and husband, Ted of Columbus, and Janet Nester and her husband John T. of DeKalb, a brother, Willie Oubre of Hattiesburg, and one sister Louise Adkins of Scooba, four granddaughters, three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Davis, her parents, A.J. and Donnie Belle Gifford Oubre, Sr. and two brothers, Thomas Lipton Oubre, and A.J. Oubre, Jr.

Visitation will be today, from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Keith Oubre, Tanner Oubre, Bill Oubre, Tom Adkins, Cody Adkins, Mike Phillips.
