Mildred Marie Gasper was born February 1, 1906, to Henry and Eliza Sardison Gimbel. She married Andrew F. Gasper on August 5, 1931, in Peoria. He passed away on November 20, 1959, in Peoria. She was a 66 year member of First English Lutheran Church. She was one of the oldest of its confirmed members. She was also a member of the Young at Heart Club and Business Women's Circle of the church. She worked in the housekeeping department of Commercial National Bank for 12 years, retiring in January 1971.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Donna) Pond and Sharon, both of Peoria; two grandsons; and one sister, Mrs. Lucille Adams of Peoria.

Services were held at First English Lutheran Church with Pastor Christopher Bartholomew officiating. Burial was in Springdale Cemetery, Peoria. Visitation was held at Wilton Mortuary from 5-7 p.m. Sunday and one hour before the service at 11 a.m. at the church.

She was 80 years old at the time of her death and lived at 1400 S. Kneer Street for the past 48 years. She was admitted to Pavilion Oaks Nursing Home on July 30, where she passed away at 6:45 p.m.
