W. T. Welch, 74, well known retired farmer and stock buyer of Hartley died suddenly Saturday after a few hours illness from a heart attack in Spokane, Wash. He and Mrs. Welch left on Saturday after Christmas to spend the winter in Spokane, where their son Claire and family and daughter, Miss Velma, live.
Mr. and Mrs. Welch have spent the greater part of their lives in O'Brien Co. They celebrated their golden wedding a little over a year ago. He is survived by his widow, three sons and four daughters: Delbert and Vernon Welch and Mrs. Clyde Rost, all of Hartley; Mrs. Ward Wagner of Austin, Minn.; Claire and Miss Velma Welch of Spokane, Wash.; And Mrs. Wisner of Idaho.
Funeral services are tentatively set for Thursday afternoon, at the Trinity Evangelical church in Hartley.
Interment will be in Pleasant View cemetery.
