Husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Tuffy farmed throughout his life, worked for Union Carbide, a wizard who could fix anything mechanical. Tuffy was a veteran of WWII, US Army Air Force, gunner in B-17's flying out of Italy, a veteran of the Ploesti raids. Shot down twice over occupied Yugoslavia, a POW freed by partisans, he walked out to freedom each time. Earned the Purple Heart and other awards.
