MARIA PILAR WOLFE, 88, of Tulsa, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2008 in Tulsa. She was born in Wekiwa, OK on October 12, 1920, the daughter of Natividad and Delfina Fabela.

She graduated from Sand Springs High School in 1940. She worked as a Unit Secretary for Hillcrest Hospital and retired from the hospital on June 27, 1984. She was active in the Sand Springs Alumni Association and Democratic politics. Maria was a member and Eucharistic Minister of St. Pious Catholic Church in Tulsa.

She is survived by two grandchildren; three sisters; two nieces; and three nephews.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Natividad and Delfina Fabela, husband, Thomas H. Wolfe, daughter, Victoria Burns, and brother, Louis Fabela.

Visitation will be Monday, October 20, 2008 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 21, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, October 21, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Rosary Service will be held in the Chapel at Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 22nd and a Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Sand Springs, at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 23, 2008 with Father Jim Caldwell of St Pius Catholic Church officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Memorial Park under the direction of Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service.
