Daniel G. Nunez enlisted as a private Jan. 1, 1863, in Co. "C", 50th Georgia Infantry Regiment, C.S.A., a Ware county company, later transferring to Co. "A", same regiment.
He lost a leg in the battle of Cedar Creek, Va., Oct. 19, 1864, and was captured.
He was released after the war was over, and returned home.
