Lorraine [*LaRayne] I. Wheeler - Vancouver

"A homemaker who enjoyed traveling and camping, Lorraine [*LaRayne] I. Wheeler, 84, died Thursday, July 12, 2001, in Vancouver.

Born Jan. 3, 1917, in Spokane, Mrs. Wheeler lived in Clark County for 15 years. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Seattle and was an avid swimmer in her younger years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Dale, who died in 1983; and her special companion of 15 years, Forrest H. Harter.

Survivors include two sons, Claira and David Wheeler both of Kent, Wash.; one daughter, Gaye Wheeler of Kent, Wash.; two brothers, Al and Del Coleman, both of Seattle; one sister, Sadie Smiley of Bellevue, Wash.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

There will be no service. The body was cremated, and inurnment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 371, Vancouver, WA 98666, or to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Southwest Washington Chapter, 6315 S. 19th St., Tacoma, WA 98466."

Death Index, and above obituary, it is "Lorraine".]
