Etta Rachel Bailey, 99, daughter of Eli D. Slawson and Susannie Pickett Slawson, was born Nov. 13, 1903, at Verndale, Minn. She died April 25, 2003, at her home at Willow Springs.
She married William Harold Bailey July 16, 1921, at Rochester, Minn. She was a retired nurse from the State Hospital in Rochester, Minn., and was a member of the First Christian Church in Houston.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1981; her son, Larry Bailey in 1995; three brothers, Luther, George and Glen Slawson; one sister, Hazel Glasby; and one grandson.
Surviving are her daughter, Carol Adams of Willow Springs; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services were April 29 at Willow Chapel with Nolan Earls officiating. Burial was in the Willow Springs City Cemetery under the direction of Willow Funeral Home.
