BORTNER – On Sunday, August 19, 1956, at 5:32 a.m., at Pleasant Acres, York RD 7, Amanda D. Bortner, daughter of the late Henry M. and Harriet Dubs Bortner, formerly of Glenville, aged 94 years, 8 months, 11 days.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Tuesday, Aug. 21, at 2 p.m. at the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock. Interment in Stone Church Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday evening from 7 to 9.

Miss Amanda Bortner, 94, Former Resident Of Glenville Succumbs

Glenville - Miss Amanda D. Bortner, 94, daughter of the late Henry M. and Harriet Dubs Bortner, formerly of this place, died yesterday at 5:32 a.m. at Pleasant Acres where she had been a guest for the past 20 years.
A member of the Lutheran congregation of St. Jacob's (Stone) Union Church, Miss Bortner is survived by a brother, George Bortner, South Bend, Ind., and a number of nieces and nephews.
Rev. Kenneth D. James, pastor of Glen Rock Lutheran charge, will officiate at funeral services tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock. Interment will be in Stone Church Cemetery.
