Sherman Baker, 91, of Exeland, WI passed away at the Shell Lake hospital on Dec. 6, 1966.

Mr. Baker was born Jan. 16, 1875, at Clark County, Iowa. He was married to Anna Mae Shinn in Iowa on Dec. 24, 1899. They came to Sawyer County in 1914. He was caretaker of the Exeland cemetery for 30 years and also did carpenter work.

Survivors include three sons, Ward, Elvin, and Kenneth, all of Exeland; one daughter, Zelena Veness of Ladysmith; one brother Joe Baker of Osceola, Iowa; one sister Hattie Smith of Osceola; 26 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; also nieces and nephews.

Fuenral services Dec. 10 at the Methodist Church in Exeland with Rev. Hanson officiating.

Burial in Exeland Cemetery. McElravey Geier Funeral Home in charge.
