"John O'Connor Succumbs At 72
John (Jack) O'Connor, 72, retired farmer and life-long Napa resident, died yesterday at his home, 1423 G St.
A native of San Francisco, Mr. O'Connor came to Napa as a child with his family and until 1933 lived in the Atlas Peak area. For several years he was keeper at Miliken Dam.
Since moving to Napa in 1933, Mr. O'Connor had been employed by Hubert Freuhauf at his Dry Creek ranch.
Surviving are his wife, Louise White O'Connor; children, Edward W[illiam] O'Connor of Hawthorne, Nev., Charles H. O'Connor, John L[ouis] O'Connor, and Mrs. Elizabeth Batto of Napa, and Mrs. Marian Jones of Petaluma; and grandchildren, Michael Jones of Petaluma, Ellen O'Connor of Hawthorne, John and Paul Batto of Napa.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Treadway and Wigger Garden Chapel. Interment will be in Wooden Valley Cemetery." END
