4 June 1964: Jacob L. Rhoad, 78, of Grantville RD 1, died Tuesday at the Shaeffer Convalescent Home, Harrisburg. He was a retired farmer and lumberman. His wife, Ida E. Seaman Rhoad, preceded him in death about 10 years ago. He is survived by two daughters, Miss Mabel E. Rhoad, Jonestown, and Mrs. Elwood Colyer, Annville RD 2; four sons, Lester T., Paul S., Christian J. and Luther B., all of Grantville RD 1, 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Other survivors include: two sisters, Mrs. Emma Yerger, Hershey, and Mrs. Lydia Daubert, Palmyra, and four brothers, Harry, Grantville RD 1; Aaron, Palmyra; David, Union Deposit, and Edwin Lancaster.
