Born in 1906 in Detroit Lakes Minnesota, his family homesteaded in Success Saskatchewan. He moved to New York City in the 1920's and drove for United Fruit Company until joining the NYC police department in 1930. In 1950 he retired and moved to Westford NY where he operated a small dairy farm and later a chicken farm. He served several terms as Justice of the Peace and was Grand Steward of the Schenevus Masonic Lodge. He was active in the Westford volunteer fire department and enjoyed traveling with his wife and their travel trailer. They were members of the Good Sams. He was a good Sam indeed...
