Nancy Tyree Dickson Graham was the second child born to James Dickson and Keziah Wood. She was born September 23, 1808, in Amherst County, Virginia and died October 10, 1891, in Madison County, Alabama. She married March 29, 1836, James B. Graham, in Madison County, Alabama. Her husband, James served as Circuit Court Clerk for Morgan County when it held Court in Somerville. According to her obituary, Nancy Graham was a remarkable woman. Blessed with strong natural endowments, firm and unswerving in purpose, with strong decision of character energy of action. She met life's duties and responsibilities bravely, faithfully, and well. One of her special characteristics was her honest frankness. Her home was her empire, she loved and ruled it well. Religion was her joy and consolation, and under its benign influence she lived a life of earnest devotion to God and the cause of human salvation.
