DUBS – On August 9, 1956, at 4:40 p.m. at Pleasant Acres, York RD 7, Mrs. Alice Bortner Dubs, widow of John W. Dubs, formerly of Glenville, aged 87 years, 4 months, 2 days.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Sunday, Aug. 12, at 1:30 p.m. at the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock. Interment in St. Jacob's (Stone) Union Church Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday evening from 7 to 9.

Mrs. Alice Dubs, 87, Formerly Of Glenville, Is Claimed By Death

Glenville - Mrs. Alice Bortner Dubs, 87, widow of John W. Dubs, formerly of Glenville, died yesterday at 4:40 p.m. at Pleasant Acres.
Mrs. Dubs lived for a year with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin G. Roser, 920 Madison Avenue, York, until she became a guest at Pleasant Acres in May.
Surviving also are a sister, Amanda D. Bortner, York RD 7, and a brother, George Bortner, South Bend, Ind.
She was a member of the Lutheran congregation of St. Jacob's (Stone) Union Church, near here.
Her pastor, Rev. Dr. Kenneth S. Ehrhart, will officiate at the funeral Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock. Interment will be in St. Jacob's Church Cemetery.
