ALFRED B. CONNABLE SR.
Alfred B. Connable Sr., a director of KVP since Jan. 25, 1916, died April 4 at the home of Dr. and Mrs. O. D. Hudnutt of Plainwell. where he had made his home for several years. Funeral services were held in the F list Presbyterian church in Kalamazoo, and interment was in Mountain Home cemetery. He took a leading part in civic and educational fields in the community, serving as mayor of Kalamazoo, on the city commission and board of education, the board of health and the zoning commission. Connable came to Kalamazoo in 1896 to practice law. He was a graduate of the U. of M. and received his law degree from Northwestern university in 1896. Surviving are five children, Alfred B. Connable Jr. Mrs. Lorence Burdick. Mrs. Paul Rood, all of Kalamazoo. Horace P. of Royal Center, Ind. and Harold of Atherton. Calif., 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
