Harmon C. Begley, age 90, of Montpelier, Ind., passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2001, at Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie, Ind.
He was born on Feb. 24, 1911 in Fort Blackmore , the son of the late Peter and Hannah Jane (Estep) Begley.
He was a Navy Veteran and retired from the City of Montpelier after several years of service.
He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Montpelier , Ind.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, P. Shirlene Binegar; a sister and three brothers.
His survivors include his wife, Dovie C. Lane Begley, whom he married March 14, 1964; five step daughters, Marie (Dewey) Zent, Warren, Ind., Hazel Cook, Bristol, Tenn., Elsie Alley, Church Hill, Tenn., Inez Ledford, Morganton, N .C. and Larue McKinney, Marion, N .C.; one stepson, Palmer Gillenwater, Baltimore, Mary.; step son-in- law, John Binegar, Penneville, Ind.; nieces, June Brickey, Marie Anderson, Ruth Sarvor, Wanda B. Darnell, Gladys B.Babb, Mattie B. Moore; nephews, Joe W. Begley, E.C. Begley, Jr., Kenneth Begley, Cecil Lane, Cecil (Tiny) Begley, Oscar (Tom) Begley, Jimmy Rhea Begley, Jackie Begley, James Begley, Ralph Begley and Arnold Begley.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Glancy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wilbur Taylor and the Rev. Billy Stanton officiating.
Burial followed at Brookside Memorial Park in Montpelier , lnd.
