Sad Holiday Season
Kansas Family Lost Three Children Within One Week
Geneseo, Kas., Jan. 1. - The little Christmas presents that had be gathered into the gome of John Monroe, a farmer near her(sic), remain only memories of the sadness which the holiday season brought to the family in the death of three children within a week. In the same week, Mrs. Monroe gave birth to a child, which is doing well.
The first child to die was Thelma (sic) Opal, aged 7. Two days later Gilbert, aged 2½ succumbed, and the following day Ida (sic) May, aged 6, passed away. The children died of a complication of mumps and tonsilitis.
