Cecil Levi Adams, LDS ID GZJW-V96, was the son of Mary Ann Oglesby, GWMD-5KP (1893-1924), and David Penn Adams, GWMD-KGZ (1889-1945).

Cecil served in the US Navy in World War II. He enlisted at Morehead City, NC, February 12, 1943; entered active service February 19, 1943; served 2 years, 11 months, 18 days; and was honorably discharged January 30, 1946.

He married Mary Ruth Wilson, GZ2L-V2Q. She was born in Spivey's Corner, Sampson Co., NC, August 5, 1931; died in New Bern, Craven Co., NC, August 24, 2023.

Cecil was listed in the 1950 US Census at 710 Bay St., Morehead City, Carteret Co., NC, with his aunt and uncle as: George W. Adams, head, 58; Nettie A. Adams, wife, 57; Clarence D. Adams, son, 26, Apprentice School, Marine Air Base: and Cecil L. Adams, nephew, 25; single, Apprentice School, Marine Air Base; all born in North Carolina.

They had two children:

1. David Wilson Adams (twin), b. Morehead City, NC, July 11, 1959
2. Cecil Elliott Adams (twin), b. Morehead City, NC, July 11, 1959; died Morehead City, NC, October 7, 1959
