William Junior Capps was born in Granby Missouri to Claudius Milton Capps and Amy Lucretia Duncon on November 3 1922. He was the third of 4 children born that also included Samuel Clarence Capps, Bessie Mae Capps and Wilma Lea Capps. He graduated from Granby High School in 1941 and married a Diamond girl named Floradean Belle Ferguson on March 13 1943. They were the parents of two daughters, Donna Sue and Claudia Dean. To most of his family he was known as Junior and to his wife he was known as Bill. Junior was a cattle farmer and worked as a heat treater for Sheffield Steel in Kansas City, Vickers, and Rocketdyne/Teledyne. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and a crossword and jigsaw puzzle fanatic. He was a member of the Wesleyan Holiness Church and the Alliance in Diamond.

Junior and Floradean had 6 grandchildren: Donya, Jimmy, Rebekah, Theresa, William Troy and Timothy. They also had 11 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

His grandson Troy Martin died on Feb 2 2001; his daughter Claudia (Troy's mother) died on July 23 2006 with his wife Floradean dying on September 17 2006. His brother Samuel C. "Fat" Capps died Oct 18 1945; his father Claude died on Jan 19 1942; Junior's mother Amy died on May 17 1959; his sister Wilma Lea died on Nov 24 1996; and his older sister Bessie Mae died on July 28 2007.

Junior was such a soft spoken man, respected and loved by all.
