FORT WORTH - Bertha Virginia Bowman Yandell, a retired schoolteacher, died Saturday at her Fort Worth home. She was 74.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Harveson & Cole Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Yandell was born in Taft and had lived in Fort Worth since 1950. She grew up in Woodward, Okla., and attended Oklahoma State University. She was a graduate of Texas Wesleyan College with a degree in business administration and a teaching certificate.She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Order of the Eastern Star, the North Side Woman's Club, the Harmony Club and Handley United Methodist Church.

The family suggests that memorials be made to Handley United Methodist Church, 2929 Forest Ave., Fort Worth 76112, or to the American Cancer Society, 2222 Montgomery St., Fort Worth 76107.

Survivors: Husband of 40 years, Herman Yandell of Fort Worth; two sons, Walter Bowman Littrell of San Rafael, Calif., and David Yandell of Arlington; stepdaughter, Judy Erb of Carson City, Nev.; stepson, Tom Yandell of Bridgeport, Conn.; sister, Martha Suffield of Amarillo; and five grandchildren.

McRoberts: Vivienne S. McRoberts, a homemaker, died Thursday at a hospital in Independence, Mo. She was 88. Mrs. McRoberts was born in Trent, Italy, and had lived in Independence for several years.

She had previously lived in Arlington, where she was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph R. McRoberts, of Independence.

Graveside service: 2 p.m. Monday in Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park.
