**********
Viola's obituary was incorrect when is said she was born SCHWARTZ, and also that she was born in Dickenson Co Michigan, she was born in OHIO. She is in fact born Switzer, the daughter of Wilson S. Switzer(1845-1910) and Margaret Robinson (1845-????). Wilson S. is the brother of John A. Switzer (1874-1964) & Mary Jane Morhead (1844-1918). John A. and Wilson S. are full brothers making Hugh and Viola Jane first cousins. It happens. I hired a professional genealogist, (wjich I have been put down for as not doing my own research) someone we all know and respect, the late Carol Willsey-Bell (also a Bushong descendant) and she dug up the proof I needed. I knew there were errors in some of my fathers work, he'd done this side of the family back 5 generations, but I didn't have alot of computer skills when I first began so I didn't know how to straighten the mess out. Whoever gave the information for the obituary didn't know what they were talking about. Viola couldn't have been born in Dickenson Co because it didn't BECOME a county till 1891 (17 years after she was born) being formed from part of Menominee, Iron and Marquette Counties. She can be found in census images with her parents, often going by the name Jennie or Jennie V. switching her first and middle names around.
Sometimes obituary info is wrong. You need to research the info given and PROVE it before just adding it as fact, or informing others they have a mistake in their work. Obits are nice to have and they give lots of clues but often there is misinformation. Remember, if it a time of grief and stress on everyone involved. Do your homework.
