David Parks, 87 years of age, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lettie A. Neil, Friday evening, after a few days' illness. He was born in Genesee, N. Y., in 1831, and came to Kalamazoo when about 21 years of age. He had lived here ever since. For nearly twenty years he was in the wall paper and paint business, his store being located on West Main street. He retired from business twelve years ago. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. L. A. Neil of this city and Mrs. William Wolf of Vicksburg, and by two grandsons, Herbert and Arthur Neil, of Kalamazoo. The funeral services will be held from Harrington chapel Monday morning at 10 o'clock. Dr. James Twyson Jones, pastor of the First congregational church officiating. Burial in Mountain Home cemetery.
