Hall of Fame Professional Football Player. He was born Robert Eugene Hickerson in Trenton, Tennessee and played at the guard position for fifteen seasons (1958 to 1960, 1962 to 1973) with the Cleveland Browns. He was a member and key player on the 1964 NFL Champion Browns team. His other notable career highlights include seven-time All-Pro selection (1964 to 1970) and six-time Pro Bowl status (1965 to 1970). After playing collegiate football at the University of Mississippi, Hickerson was chosen by Cleveland in the 7th round of the 1957 NFL Draft and appeared in 202 career regular season games. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2007
