Katy Bertiele Taylor was daughter of Elikiam Benedict and Lula Ethel Griffing Taylor. Her parents, like herself, were born in Copiah County, Miss.
On June 12, 1926 she married Clarence Edgar Randall in Caddo Parish, Louisiana. She was called "Kitsie" by the family and I remember that she was a very sweet and very petite lady. She worked as a lawyer in the real estate business. The owner of the construction company she worked in for many years named a street in Houston Randall for her.
Katy passed away from cancer at the age of 58 years on November 7, 1954 at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, Texas. Her funeral was at the Boulevard Funeral Home on November 9, 1954 and interment followed at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
