Sloan, Mamie Alice age 96 of Walland, died at 3:10 a.m., Monday, June 18, 2001 at her home.

She was a member of Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Joe Sloan and many other close and dear relatives.

Survivors: son, James H. Sloan of Walland; sons & daughters-in-law, Charles & Edith Sloan of Knoxville, William E. & Joan Sloan and John E. & Norma Sloan all of Maryville; Rex & Elizabeth Sloan of Michigan; daughters & sons-in-law, Maxine & Bob Duncan and Wilma & Don Wilson all of Walland; 22 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and five great- great-grandchildren; a special granddaughter and caretaker, Joan Carol Sloan.

Funeral service 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 21, 2001, Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary with Rev. Jay Westbrooks and Rev. Jim McCulla officiating. The family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 22, 2001 at Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Thursday, Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary, Maryville
