Solomon served as a Private, Company H, 4th Delaware Infantry during the Civil War.

He was "Killed In Action" during the war at the Battle of Cold Harbor.

He is interred in a group grave with 5 other Delaware Soldiers who also were "Killed In Action".

He was originally interred on the John's Farm in Virginia with the other five soldiers before later being re-interred here.
