Funeral services for Robert Claude Willett, 80 years old, of Cape Girardeau, Route 2, will be held at 2 Sunday afternoon at First Baptist Church, where he was a member.
Dr. W.T. Holland will conduct the service and graveside rites at the Memorial Park will be held by the 100F Lodge of Cape Girardeau, with which he was affiliated.
The body is at the Bisplinghoff Funeral Home in Chaffee.
Mr. Willett died Thursday in a Cape Girardeau hospital. Born August 14, 1884, in Stanley Station, KY he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Willett. As a young boy, he was reared in Perkins; where later he became a merchant, continuing in that trade for 42 years.
For the 29 years he resided in Cape Girardeau, where he and the former Mrs. Gertrude Carr were married.
He leaves his wife and three sons: Bernard Willett of Perkins, Thurman Willett of Linn and Robert Willett of Flint, MI. Three daughters: Mrs. Hosea of Cape Girardeau, Mrs. Capitola Griffith of St. Louis, and Mrs. Robert Martin of Richmond, VA. A stepson, Louis Evans Downey of CA, and a stepdaughter, Mrs. William Rogers, of St. Louis.
Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, a brother L.J. Willett of Flint, MI and three sisters, Mrs. Blanch Comes, of Utica, KY, Mrs. Nadine Woodard, Owensboro, KY and Mrs. Ava Allgood, Flint.
