RUTH SPARR

Ruth Sparr, 86 of Vero Beach died Jan, 14, 1993, at her residence after a prolonged illness.
She was born Aug. 5, 1906 in Lonaconing, Md. and moved to Vero Beach in 1989 from Bravard County.
Mrs. Sparr was member of the Our Savior Lutheran Church in Vero Beach. She was retired from the J.C. Penney Co., Melbourne. She also was a charter member of the Episcopal Church of Our Savior in Palm Bay, charter member of the Palm Bay Civic Association, member and past president of the Melbourne Art Club, member of the Indian River Power Squadron, and attended the senior center at the Council on Aging in Vero Beach.
Surviving are a son Ralph Sparr, Akron, Ohio, three daughters, Jane Rathbun and Diane Sparr both of Vero Beach, and Joan McCain, Fort Pierce, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. today at Brownlee-Maxwell Funeral Home, Melbourne.
A funeral will be held 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
The family suggests donations be made to the Council on Aging, 694 14th St. Vero Beach, Fla. 32960
