Visitation for Michelle Brianne Black, 9, a former Casa Grande resident, is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church chapel, 702 E. Cottonwood Lane. A funeral will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Saturday at the church. Graveside services will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
Miss Black was born May 15, 1982, and died Aug. 20, 1991 at Phoenix Children's Hospital. While living in Casa Grande, she attended Cholla Elementary School. After moving to Chandler with her family, she was enrolled as a third grader at Sirrine Elementary School.
She was a member of New Life Community Church in Mesa and while in Casa Grande, the First Presbyterian Church. She participated in Girl Scouts of America.
She is survived by her parents, Michael and Janelle Black, of Chandler; one brother, Nicholas, of Chandler; grandparents, Gema Sue Black, Janiece Grappe and Ron Black, all of Casa Grande; great-grandparents, Pete and Pat Gladden, of Casa Grande, Letha Roper, of Picacho and Dick and Dorothy Black, of Casa Grande; five uncles, four aunts and four cousins.
