Janice L. " Jan " Hansford, 50, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 1996, in St. Vincent's Medical Center in Jacksonville following a long illness.
She was born in Green Cove Springs and had lived in Ware County, Ga., for the past 24 years. She was a member of Hobardville United Methodist Church and formerly served as secretary-treasurer of Hansford Realty and Auction Co.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Hattie Elaine Wilbur Ivey; and sister, Elizabeth E. "Liz" Ivey.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, J. Terry Hansford of Waycross, Ga.; daughter, Terralyn H. Brown and husband, Jimmy, of Waycross; father, Louie James Ivey of Green Cove Springs; brothers, Ed Ivey and Arthur Woodrow Ivey, both of Green Cove Springs and Tommy Ivey of Atlanta; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The funeral is 10 a.m. today at Hobardville United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery in Waycross.
