Aged 41 years. Drowned while fishing in the Bluff lake, north of the state fairgrounds. He had been a resident of Springfield for five years and was employed as a florist in the Canfield greenhouse. Survived by parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Allchin; brothers Edward, David, John and Ernest; sister Mrs. Carrie Curtis.
