Obituary:
Erma Mary Arbogast, 90, of Woodstock, Virginia, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Mrs. Arbogast was born July 22, 1911, in Circleville and was the daughter of the late Isaac G. Cook and Effie Wimer Cook.

She was employed by the Department of Commerce in Washington, DC, where she retired after 30 years in the government. She was a member of the Circleville United Methodist Church.

On Jan. 31, 1928, she married Richard Vosler Arbogast, who died May 19, 1978.

She is survived by two daughters, Wanda Lee Grimes and husband, Everette, of Circleville, and Jacqueline Emmart and husband, Clyde W., all of Woodstock, Virginia; four grandchildren, Roger A. Emmart, Peggy S. Emmart, Linda L. Emmart and Christopher Grimes; five great-grandchildren, Michael Emmart, Jacqueline Emmart, Lisa M. Morris, Kelsey Grimes and Quinn Grimes; one great-great-great-grandchild, Christina M. Morris.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Marshall Cook and Frank Cook; and one half-sister, Sally Rymer.

The Rev. Stanley Kile conducted the funeral at 2 p.m. Monday at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin. Burial was at the North Fork Memorial Cemetery in Riverton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Circleville United Methodist Church.
