•Baptism: Blue Mound Baptist Church, Harwood, Missouri. Attended Assembly of God Church in Golden City, Missouri.
•Note: My Father, Abram Franklin Gruver was called "Frank". He was named after his Father, Abram Gruver, and was born September 07, 1887 in Gordon, Sheridan County, Nebraska. He died April 27, 1971 in Lamar, Missouri Hospital, Barton County, Missouri. He married my Mother, Nellie Hillsman on June 05, 1915 in shell City, Vernon County, Missouri. Nellie is the daughter of Albert Hillsman and Nancy Jane Snow. She was born September 15, 1896 in Churdan, Green County, Iowa and passed away October 11, 1951 in our home at Rural Route #3, Jasper, Missouri. My Father remarried Lola May Bird Davis on August 11, 1953. My Father and Mother were great parents. They were both very unselfish and a few days before entering the hospital for the last time, my Father prayed for all his Children and Grand Children and their families. Asking only that they would find our Lord, Jesus Christ, and dedicate their lives to Him. So, we can all meet again in Heaven. He told us that he was not worried about dyeing, however leaving all of his Children behind was the hardest for him to think about. Written by Frank's daughter, Frankie Joan Gruver-Blackwell during Christmas Season December 25, 2000.
