She was a daughter of the late Andrew Dexter and Delphia Mundy Hamon.She was a 1942 graduate of Ripley High School. She also graduated from Charleston Business College and was a former employee of Goodwin & Goodwin and the state of West Virginia and also was a former employee of the First National Bank of South Charleston.She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 17, Ripley, for over 50 years.
Surviving are her husband of 61 years, James Otis Sayre; son, James Gregory Sayre of Alexandria, Va.; sisters, Jo Crum of Cottageville, Genevieve Casto of South Charleston and Agnes Miller of Russell, Ky.; grandchildren, Alexadra and Kateri; and several nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be held in Blaine Memorial Cemetery, Cottageville.Arrangements are provided by Casto Funeral Home, Evans.
