Mrs. H.P. Nielsen Rites held Sept. 8
Funeral services for Mrs. Harry P. Nielsen, 34, of Lake Benton were held Wednesday September 8th at 8 p.m. at the Diamond Lake Lutheran church with Rev. Olson officiating. Mrs. Nielsen passed away at her home on Sunday, September 5th.
Pallbearers were Richard Hansen hand her nephews (unable to read print from newsclipping for other names...)
At the services Mr. Harold Johnson sang "How Great Thou Art" accompanied b his wife, a cousin of Mrs. Nielsen, ORganist for the services was Mrs. Hans Meyer.
Gladys Edna Seliden was born December 5, 1930 at Dumont, Minn. the daughter of MRs. Edna Seliden ad the late Martin J. Seliden. On September 4, 1949 she was united inmarriage ot Harry P. Nielsen of Lake Benton. They made theri home on a farm in Shaokatan township, Lincoln county. Three children were born to this union.
Surviving are her husband, Harry; a daughter Betty; two sons, David and Dean; her mother Mrs. Edna seliden; two brothers, Gilbert and Louis Seliden and two sisters, Doris (Mrs. Marlo Warholm) and Bernice (Mrs. Myron Johnson ) and several nieces and nephews besides a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father.
Friends and relatives attending the funeral came from Ramona Calif.; Sheyenne and Bismark, N.D.; Aurelia, Cherokee and Storm Lake, Ia.; Columbia, Brookings, and Elkton, S.D.; and Wheaton, Mankato, Minneapolis, Richfield, Morris, Fergus Falls, Dumont, Evansville, Tintah, Proter, jasper, Pipestone, Verdi, Milroy, Norcross, Marshall, Tyler, Turhton, Hendricks, Ivanhoe, Arco and Lake Benton Minn.
