Alice Drips married Samuel F. Jenkins, 03 Aug 1878, in Marion County, OR [MR #2176]. She was enumerated in Portland in the 1900 Census, age 41, born Feb 1859 in Iowa, along with "David" Jenkins, age 43, born May 1857 in Virginia and their daughter Nora, age 20, born Sept 1879
in Oregon. Alice may have died in July 1901 as her father purchased this lot on the 12th of that month. There is frequent mention in the Stayton Mail of her daughter, Nora, in relationship to Allen Drips, from early 1904 onward, but no mention of Alice. No death notice was located for her in the (Portland) Oregonian in July 1901, nor was she found in the Portland Deaths for 1901. Her death date was not
located in the ODI.
