Margaret L. Barkhimer, 82, of Larkspur Lane died at 11:35 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, 1996, at her home.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Myers Funeral Service, Reed and Jewell Chapel on 25th Street, with the Rev. Allan K. Wilson officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or Bartholomew County Area Hospice.
Mrs. Barkhimer was born in Columbus Sept. 20,1914, the daughter of Forest N. and Memiral Smith Thompson. She married Lynn P. Barkhimer Aug. 28,1935, in Columbus. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Robert L. Barkhimer of Poway, Calif.; grandchildren, Jeffrey L. Barkhimer of Escondido, Calif., and Beth Anne Schaldach and Brian D. Barkhimer, both of Santee, Calif.; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters.
