POTEAU — Katie Vanessa Simpson, 84, of Poteau died Thursday, Aug. 19, 1999, in Claremore, Okla. She was a homemaker and lifelong member of Southside Baptist Church. She was the widow of Murl Simpson.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Southside Baptist Church of Poteau with burial at Oakland Cemetery of Poteau.
She is survived by a daughter, Murlene Wood of Owasso, Okla., one sister, Doris McFarland of Poteau; two granddaughters, Tammy Shoemaker and Deana Hendrickson, both of Owasso; and four great-grandchildren.
