He enlisted in the Army on August 15, 1942 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed in a public service occupation and also as Single, without dependents.
Scott was "Killed In Action" when his B-26, which took off from Rivenhall with an assigned target of Maisons-La-Fitte Bridge, France, was hit by German flak and crashed in the Avenue La Fountaine in Maisons-Lafitte, France during the war.
The entire crew of 6 were killed.
He was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.
Scott was originally interred in France and was later repatriated here on December 29, 1948.
