Harlan B. Dexter, 92, a former Klamath Falls resident, died Jan 27, 2004.

Harlan married his wife Hester on Aug. 22, 1936.

He lived in Klamath Falls for 29 years, working as a distributor for Mobil Oil. He moved to Salem in 1978.

Mr. Dexter belonged to many organizations, including the South Salem Lions Club, a Melvin Jones Fellow of Lions (a lifetime member of Lions International) a lifetime member of Elks Lodge No. 1247 of Klamath Falls, Salem Shriners Club and the Battlecreek Gold Club.

He was also a member of the Salem First Pesbyterian Church.

He enjoyed civic activities, community service and golf and helped the Salvation Army bell-rining campaign last Christmas.

Among his survivors are his wife Hester; daughter and son-in-law Sandra and Dr. Donald Renie of Klamath Falls; grandchildren Cindy Renie Lawlor, David and Scott Renie and Susie Claiborn; great-grandchldren Lauren and Kelsie Renie, Andrea and Riley Claiborne and Grace Lawlor.

He was preceded in death by his son Dennis; brother Bill Donaldson; sister Florence Scharff; great-grandchild Jacob Renie.
