Carlon J. Sullivan, age 96, of Ola, died Thursday, September 7, 2006 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. A son of the late Thomas J. and Pearl Payton Sullivan, he was born August 14, 1910 at Birta, Arkansas. He was a retired carpenter, a member of the Casa Masonic Lodge # 537 and a member of the Ola Assembly of God Church. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Hetta Sullivan; four brothers: Woodrow, Freeman, Levi and Vadus Sullivan; and two sisters: Bessie Smith and Retha Sullivan. Survivors include two brothers: Thomas Sullivan of Ola; and Marshall Sullivan of Jacksonville, Arkansas; a sister, Cynthia Parker of Chicago, Illinois; and a number of nephews and nieces.
A graveside service will be conducted by Shinn Funeral Service at 2 P.M. on Saturday at the Birta Cemetery at Birta, officiated by Rev. Jerry Schlinker.
