Preceded in death by parents, two great-grandsons: Christopher Roye and Bradey Sipe; 4 brothers: Clyde, Glenn, Roy P., Charles W. Gardner. Survived by children: Mrs. Abraham (Deloris) Shumaker, Somerset; Homer E. Gardner, married to the former Shelva Meyers, Somerset; Mrs. Francis R. (Kay) Moravecz, Hollsopple; Mrs. George L. (Georgia) Marple, Somerset; Barry W. Gardner, Severn, Md.; Mrs. Harry B. (Margaret) Mayhugh, Meyersdale; Mrs. Robert E. (Gail) Sipe, Somerset; also 22 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Member of Somerset Church of God; Jenner Rod and Gun Club; Laurel Ridge Sportsman Association. U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Retired in 1978 as a janitor/maintenance man for Somerset Trust Co. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 2 to 4 and 7 to9 p.m. Saturday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Sunday at Somerset Church of God, with the Rev.
