Caroline was the child of Thomas Watts and Susan Hutchins Pace Berry Watts. She was born in Jasper County, Texas, then a Mexican municipality.

Caroline married 1st Marcus Aurelius Priest 5 Jan 1852 in Jasper and had one daughter, Aurelia Juliette Priest. Marcus died in 1854.

Caroline married 2nd Benjamin Franklin Mott 21 Sept 1856 in Jasper and had two children, Beulah Francis (Fannie) and Franklin Gerald Mott. Benjamin died in 1861.

Caroline married 3rd Theophilus Charles Delaney 27 Nov 1866 in Jasper and had five children; Theola, Sirina, Metta Frances, Charles T., and Emma. Sometime after 1872 they moved to Cottle County where they remained until their death in 1916.
